TiedSiren is a strict app and website blocker for Android that locks your distractions for a session you commit to before it starts, for people who have already tried the blockers that let them off.
It exists because every blocker we tried had the same fatal flaw: it trusted willpower at exactly the moment willpower is gone. A blocker you can switch off in three taps is not a commitment device. It is a suggestion. So TiedSiren moves the decision. You choose the apps and the duration before the session starts, and Strict Mode holds that decision until the timer ends.

Strict Mode
Lock in a session and a duration up front. The session cannot be shortened from your phone once it starts. Strict Mode needs TiedSiren Pro, which starts with a 7-day free trial on the yearly plan. Typical use: Studying for exams or interviews.
Custom Blocklists

Blocking apps and websites, blocklists and scheduled sessions are in the free app. Strict Mode needs TiedSiren Pro, and the yearly plan starts with a 7-day free trial. You find out whether a lock you cannot talk your way out of is what you needed before you pay for it.
Nobody else has to let you out
AppBlock builds its Strict Mode on a cooldown and on third-party approval, so someone else holds the key. TiedSiren asks for no accountability partner and no support ticket. The session you set is the whole agreement, and it ends when the timer ends.
It runs on the device the scrolling happens on
Cold Turkey Blocker is a desktop product. Its own FAQ says Android and iOS are not supported, and its free version blocks websites rather than applications. TiedSiren blocks Android applications and websites, on the phone that is already in your hand.
The uninstall route closes with everything else
Most blockers can be removed mid-session, so a block lasts exactly until you reach the uninstall button. Strict Mode has an uninstall lock for that: TiedSiren cannot be removed until the timer ends. The Settings lock keeps the Settings app closed, and the Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and permission screens with it. You make that trade before the timer starts, not during it.
It holds with no signal
Blocking is enforced on the device by Android’s Accessibility Service. An internet connection is needed once, to create the account; after that, losing coverage changes nothing about a running session.

The team behind TiedSiren
TiedSiren is built by Epictechtus, a one-person studio in France. One developer writes the Android app, this site and the replies to your email. TiedSiren is the only app Epictechtus publishes, which is the reason it gets the whole week rather than the leftovers of one.
The app started as a tool for its own author. Several blockers had already been installed and uninstalled, each one defeated in about a minute by the same move: open Settings, turn the thing off, go back to scrolling. TiedSiren is the version that closes that move, and Strict Mode is the part that closes it.

How working with TiedSiren works
There is one inbox, support@tiedsiren.com, and it is read by the person who writes the code. Use it for bugs, feature requests, account problems, press and partnerships. A chat widget sits in the corner of every page on this site; if nobody is at the other end when you write, the conversation arrives in that same inbox and is answered by email.
Expect a reply within two working days. A message about a session you cannot leave is treated ahead of everything else. A bug report moves fastest when it names your Android version, your phone model, the app version and whether a Strict Mode session was running, the contact page lists what to include. There is nothing to onboard: install from Google Play, create the account, build a blocklist, start a session.
What we will not do
The product is early and this site says so. There are no user counts we cannot show and no claims about outcomes we have not measured. Every comparison above names the page on the other company's own site that carries the claim, and gets re-read before it is edited. The roadmap after Android is announced when a platform ships, not before. A page that attacks other products for overclaiming has no business overclaiming itself.
How the app treats your data
Blocking is enforced on the device through Android's Accessibility Service. That service checks which app is in the foreground and, in a browser, the address in the address bar, so a block can be applied. It reads nothing else on the screen.
